How children bite and chew?

At the moment, a study is being conducted to investigate how children of different ages bite and chew.
After successful completion of the experiment, the participating child will get 3 cinema tickets.

The study looks for research participants who are:
- Between 3 to 18 years (written parents approval must be given and are included in the trial)

And who does not have:
- Previous tooth trauma
- Untreated dental caries
- Illness or disability that makes physical handling of smaller objects difficult
- Nut allergies
- Did orthodontic braces

How does the study go?
During the experiment, the participating person will sit on a chair and chew on gelatin-based candy (very similar to the wine gum), bite off a half peanut and to keep different weights with the help of their front teeth in different trials.
The procedure will be repeated a few times and will take about 60 minutes.
This procedure is well prepared and has been used in several previous studies in adults. Please state to the experiment leader if you have any known food allergy.

Voluntary
By contacting us you only register your interest and do not guarantee you to participate in the study. Participation in the research study is voluntary and the research person has the right at any time, without special explanation, to interrupt his/her participation.

The study will be conducted in English.
