EEG study - visual attention and more... ;)

Denna studie är avslutad och tar tyvärr inte emot flera anmälningar!
Do you want to experience how experimental psychological research is carried out? In this study we investigate brain activity while processing auditory and visual stimuli. Your task involves detecting visual target stimuli shown on the computer screen.

During the experiment, we will measure your brain activity with the help of electroencephalography (EEG). EEG only registers only brain activity and is totally safe. Practically, this means that you will wear an EEG recording cap with 8 electrodes attached to it. Additional two electrodes will be placed on your nose and on your cheek. A drop of gel will be applied to electrodes. After the experiment you have the possibility to wash the gel out of your hair if you wish to do so.

You will be presented with additional auditory stimuli through in-ear tube earphones. The part of earphones that will be placed in the opening of your ear canal is made of foam and is one-time use only for hygienic reasons.

At the end you will be asked to take a short Working Memory Capacity test.

As a participant, you should have normal or corrected to normal vision, normal hearing, be between 18 and 40 years and have no psychological disorders or history of neurological disease.

The experiment takes around 1 hour. Participation is rewarded with 100 sek gift voucher.
